Violet Jessop was a stewardess who served on all three of the Olympic-class sister ships and survived disasters on each one. She was aboard the Olympic when it collided with another vessel in 1911, aboard the Titanic when it sank in 1912, and aboard the Britannic when it struck a mine in 1916. After the third disaster, she kept going back to sea and didn't retire until 1950.
